Business is expanding quickly, and it’s an exciting time to be part of the Acroname team! We are well- positioned for continued growth into new markets with our current and forthcoming offerings and are growing our customer team with a Product Management and Technical Sales Manager.

The Technical Marketing aspect of this position requires an experienced professional who is: adept at conducting market research to investigate, qualify, open, and enter new markets; work with Acroname’s sales team to identify target customers and engage with decision makers who can benefit from Acroname’s expertise and solutions; work with Acroname’s product team to help define market- optimized products and create related marketing and messaging materials that clearly illustrate Acroname’s products and value proposals.

The Technical Sales part of this job requires an experienced sales professional who is: adept at understanding technical problems and identifying solutions; able to communicate clearly with customers and business partners; able to travel domestically to trade shows and customer sites once travel opens up (15-25% travel); bridge between Acroname’s engineering team and customers to understand and articulate how our products solve real world problems.

KEY SKILLS
The right candidate for this job will have the following:

◆  5-7+ years of experience in business development, technical marketing, applications engineering and/or hardware related sales

◆  BS or MS in a technical field (or relevant work experience)

◆  BA or MA in Business will be helpful

◆  Excellent English written and verbal communication

◆  Business-minded individual with a solid understanding of technology fundamentals

◆  Hands-on approach to creating and developing sales and marketing materials

◆  Not an “order-taking” person; this is primarily product-focused and technical sales

◆  Recognizes the difference between persistence and annoyance and can balance the two

◆  Track-record of courting OEMs and closing such deals

◆  Sense of humor (we only do this because we want to)

◆  Disciplined and experienced with modern CRMs

◆  Works independently, is extremely self-driven, but knows when to ask questions

◆  Has a passion for technology

◆  Ready, willing and eager to talk to and help customers

BONUS POINTS

◆  Familiarity with the professional AV and videoconferencing industry and business model

◆  You have created a network diagram of your home and pulled the Cat6 to prove it

◆  Can tell the difference between a USB tree and a douglas fir tree

◆  Has friends who are engineers and can talk to them; engineers don’t bite - they are customers and co-workers

◆  Most people can’t tell if you are an engineer or a sales person
