UART Entity

A UART is a “Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter. Many times referred to as a COM (communication), Serial, or TTY (teletypewriter) port.

The UART Class allows the enabling and disabling of the UART data lines.

void uart_getEnable(unsigned int *id, struct Result *result, int uartChannel)

Get the Enable/Disable of the UART.

Parameters
  • id: The id assigned by the create stem vi.

  • result: object, containing NO_ERROR and the enable status or a non zero Error code.

  • uartChannel: The index of the UART entity.

void uart_setEnable(unsigned int *id, struct Result *result, int uartChannel, int enable)

Set the Enable/Disable the UART output.

Parameters
  • id: The id assigned by the create stem vi.

  • result: object, containing NO_ERROR or a non zero Error code.

  • uartChannel: The index of the UART entity.

  • enable: The state to be set. 0 = Disabled; 1 = Enabled.
