TeraRanger Evo 64px Sensor

TeraRanger Evo64px is the multi-pixel Time-of-Flight sensor. The sensor uses infrared LED technology, meaning it is fully eye-safe and also operates in low light or dark conditions without the need for external illumination.

It provides a matrix of 8x8 distance readings over a 15 degrees FOV, with a maximum range up to 5m. The sensor offers two operating modes: fast mode with a sampling rate as high as 130 frames per second; or close range for improved minimum range with measurements starting at 10 cm. “ Evo 64px delivers depth data in a compact form-factor, weighing as little as 12 grams.

Unique Modular Design

TeraRanger Evo sensors consist of a sensing device (black module) and a choice of backboard (yellow module), which simply plugs-in to provide the sensor with a communication link and its power management capabilities without the need for adapters or complex wiring.

You simply choose the backboard that best suits your application and communication protocol! USB and UART backboards are available. For first time users, we recommend the USB backboard as it allows quick tests on PC with our graphical user interface. This setup is also required for possible firmware updates in future. Other backboards with industry standard interfaces and protocols can also be made to support your application. Contact us to discuss your project requirement

Developed for indoor use, Evo 64px outputs a matrix of 8x8 high-speed distance readings over a 15˚ Field of View (FOV), with a maximum range of up to 5 meters. All in a small and lightweight form-factor, only 12 grams. A free graphical user interface is available for quick tests on your PC, and drivers for ROS are also written adding to the plug and play convenience.
