Universal Orientation Cables (VCONN Pass Thru)
Acroname's Universal Orientation Cables (UOC) are USB-C cables which do not have the required Ra termination to indicate the cable orientation. When combined with Acroname's Programmable USB hubs and switches, these UOC cables can enable executing programmatic flip of the USB-C cable. This can be used during functional, validation, and manufacturing tests to exercise both sides of a USB-C receptacle.

The USB-C Coaxial Universal Orientation Cable (UOC) enables automated testing of flipping USB-C connections. When used with the USB-C-Switch or USBHub3c, this cable provides an orientation-agnostic connection. It is built with low-loss coaxial wires for the USB SuperSpeed data lines to ensure the highest possible signal integrity in your USB-C test system. C46-USBC-UOC is a specialized USB-C UOC cable used for flip testing of USB-C end devices (cameras, flash drives, development boards) which short the USB 480Mbps A and B side D+/D- lines at the USB-C connector. Products which implement fully separated D+/D- connections for each side of the USB-C connector should use the C44-USBC-UOC.
